The first trailer of the highly awaited film Udta Punjab released on Saturday, April 16, 2016. The trailer presents a story of drugs menace in the state of Punjab. The star cast of the film includes Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh. Diljit is a really big deal in Punjabi cinema. As a matter of fact, he is one of the biggest names in Punjabi Cinema who happens to give hits after hits. The actor is making his Bollywood debut with this film as a police officer. During the trailer launch, the actor talked about how grateful he was when this offer came to him. A lot of people said that no one would cast him in Bollywood in the main role with his turban on but director Abhishek Chaubey did.
