Indira Baikerikar Ghosh – LFW Summer/Resort 2012
Indira's collection, 'Indi' proved to be something right out of a fairytale, pulsating pixie-like fun. Inspired by art oriented things such as theatre, Bollywood, music and beaches this designer portrayed a fun happy-go-lucky attitude through her collection. Focusing mainly on dresses, the collection's palette consisted mostly of youthful colours of yellows, purples, reds, blues and aquamarines as well as pastel tones. The designer managed to keep her garments simple with feminine, flowing cuts in soft materials like georgette, chiffon, silk chiffon and silk crepe. While the low back cut-outs added a sensual touch; embellishments in beadwork, metal and jewels on the shoulders and back, added spunk. A piece that caught everyone's attention was a stretch silk multi print dress with colourful buttons around the neck and a sparkling brooch in the front. This collection by Indira for Vedaant Body Drapes would be perfect for women who like to add a little playfulness to their wardrobe.
