2015 started off with a controversy for pop singer Selena Gomez when she posted a photo of herself on Instagram showing a bare ankle in the premises of Abu Dabhi Grand Mosque. Soon after which she deleted the image when her account was flooded with negative comments. Representatives of the Mosque stated that this behavior was disrespectful and that led to Selena taking down the picture from her Instagram account. Also, many heads turned when another group photo was posted where Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Cody Simpson, and Shay Mitchell were seen posing in the Mosque area. Earlier, singer Rihanna had also posted similar pictures where she was posing right in front of the Abu Dabhi Grand Mosque. Soon after which, RiRi was asked to leave the Mosque premises. Luckily, Selena got away with this one! Selena, who was vacationing with fellow musicians also posted many other photos and videos of her during the trip, but took down the bare ankle photo as soon as she found out it had offended the Mosque leaders.
