The producer of Ra.One, Gauri Khan was gifted the Volkswagen Phaeton to mark the association of the German brand with the movie. Shah Rukh Khan, required to blow-up many Volkswagens in the car chasing sequences drives a yellow Beetle in the film. The small cute car symbolizes the sweetness and innocence of his character. Shahana Goswami said, " Touareg was to smash into a bus.
