Shikha Grover & Vinita Adhikare – LFW Summer/Resort 2012
LAKMÉ FASHION WEEK SUMMER/RESORT 2012 - March 2nd to March 6th. Ilk meaning 'clan', was born in 2011, its souls being two designers Shikha Grover and Vinita Adhikari. Shikha graduated from Pearl academy of Fashion, New Delhi 2006 while Vinita from NIFT, New Delhi in 2008. Their design and production unit is located in Noida. Ilk talks about womenswear fashion in today's world. Ilk's aesthetic is clean, youthful and suave, the garments suggest of a soft grunge feel. A wonderful fabric, idea or a fine detail, it is these set of tangibles and intangibles that they try to translate into their work. Ilk interprets 'style with energy for their clientele'.
