Shivan Narresh – LFW Summer/Resort 2012
LAKMÉ FASHION WEEK SUMMER/RESORT 2012 - March 2nd to March 6th. Bringing their distinct touches to swimwear again, Shivan Narresh presented "Mosaic" their latest collection with clean colour blocking and sharply cut silhouettes for the Summer/Resort 2012 season at Lakmé Fashion Week. Displaying a marked Bauhausian look, there were interesting shapes that created magic on the ramp as svelte models glided down. The pair also merged couture with swimwear with their new line called "Handcraft", which was limited to just five repeats and took 50-80 man hours to create. With innovative surface textures like braiding, draping and embellishments; the swimwear was stitch free but with hi-tech touches like resistance to UV rays, sunscreen oil, sand piling and curling. Trikinis, Maillots, Bikinis and body suits, were shown in varying colour blocking versions all with a perfect fit. Dresses followed the blocked tones from the designing duo, while the jumpsuits and rompers, shirts, trousers, jackets and sarongs had a perfect line up of hues. The interesting entries were the Maillot sari and the bikini teamed with the traditional Indian sari. Making a strong fashion statement on the ramp were the lovely collars, the wedges that followed the colour block story, the ankle length black wedge boots and the striking skeletal lampshade hats. Shivan Narresh's new "Mosaic" and "Handcraft" collections of resort wear had all the glitz and glamour that beachwear needs, to make a sexy entry around the globe.
