MUMBAI: Akshay Kumar has gone a step further to promote his upcoming Diwali release – Blue. The actor has tattoed the name of the film on his neck.
Produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. and directed by debutant Anthony D’Souza, Blue stars Akshay along with Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan, Katrina Kaif, Lara Dutta and Kabir Bedi.
Akshay plays the character of a rich businessman who is obsessed with money and thirsts for more. Based on the oceans, the significance of Blue doesn’t end here. He even owns a business called Blue Shipping & Fisheries.
D’Souza thought it would be a brilliant idea to have Blue tattooed on the back of Akshay’s neck as it would add that extra edge to his character. And it was sheer presence of mind to call Akshay’s character Aarav as he had already inked his son’s name on his back.
