MUMBAI: Balaji has roped in columnist /author Shobhaa De for its forthcoming film, Once upon a Time in Mumbaai.
Once Upon A Time stars Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi among others and Mumbaai traces the changing face of the Mumbai underworld. The film, set primarily in 1970 Mumbai, follows the rise of Sultan and his eventual fall, when his protégé challenges his supremacy, and usurps power to rule the murky underbelly of Mumbai.
De was roped in by Balaji, as a social media consultant for the film. Inside sources also claim that Balaji was looking for someone who would ensure that the context of the film would be contemporary and appeal to audiences alike-
Kapoor said, “I am looking forward to some exciting and hitherto unknown facts to emerge from her association”
“This new involvement promises to be as exciting as the Sensational Seventies. I’m looking forward to being a part of Ekta’s nostalgia” remarks De.
