MUMBAI: The Video-on-Demand division of BIGFlix.com (a part of Reliance BIG Entertainment), has appointed Dr. Preetam Shah as the vice president, international business development, BIGFlix.com. He will head the international market for the video-on-demand division of the business and will largely be responsible to drive and enhance BIGFlix presence in North America and other international markets.
In this role, Dr. Shah will be instrumental in developing strategic business alliances and partnerships to drive the distribution of BIGFlix content through various channels to NRIs and Indian cinema aficionados internationally. Prior to this appointment, he has been a part of Reliance Capital, (a part of Reliance ADAG) as the vice president of US Venture operations. His current responsibilities at BigFlix will be in addition to his responsibilities at Reliance Capital. Dr. Shah brings with him years of extensive experience in sales & marketing, strategy, business development and finance. In his role at Reliance Capital, he is responsible for identifying strategic investment opportunities that creates value for Reliance ADA Group’s existing business verticals in the healthcare, energy, digital media and entertainment (DM & E), and financial sectors.
