MUMBAI: B.R. Films’ Bhootnath, scheduled for release on 9 May, has tied up with Zapak.
Zapak will specially create a Zapak Card series to promote Bhootnath, which will be a pack of five, exclusively made for the movie. This gaming card around the film will be a collectible card.
Through the card one can download games on Zapak’s website. Zapak will also re-skin an online adver-game around the movie.
With this alliance, Zapak gets the rights to use the characters for the promotion of the movie and the Zapak Cards (Bhootnath series).
B.R. Films CEO Sanjay Bhutiani, who is spearheading the strategy for worldwide release, says, “Bhootnath‘s target audience is children and adults and gaming amongst this segment is fast picking up, be a mobile, online or console driven. Zapak is developing customised games around the movie that will involve and engage the target audience. The games will be available nationwide not only at the Reliance web stores but at other retail points frequented by consumers. A multi-media plan has been planned to help market the games by Zapak.”
Produced by B.R. Chopra and Ravi Chopra and written and directed by Vivek Sharma, the film features Amitabh Bachchan, Juhi Chawla, Satish Shah, Rajpal Yadav and others with Shah Rukh Khan making a special appearance. Music is by Vishal-Shekhar, lyrics are by Javed Akhtar and cinematography is by Vishnu Rao.
