MUMBAI: Multiplex chain Cinemax launched a four screen multiplex in Siliguri, Darjeeling on 4 December, 2009. With this, the company has made its foray into North East India.
The Cinemax-Savin Plaza in Dagapur, Siliguri multiplex opened with the screening of Paa, De Dana Dan, Radio and 2012 and has a seating capacity of 974 seats including 73 recliner seats.
With this new addition Cinemax now has a total of 28 theater properties with 88 screens. Cinemax India senior vice president Devang Sampat said, "Cinemax has established its presence with a strong emphasis on screen size, picture and sound quality and innovative consumer offers, offering viewers a variety which keeps them coming back for more."
