MUMBAI : Bobby Deol recently performed a daredevil stunt for a forthcoming Sangeeth Sivan film by jumping from a 12 storied tower in Kandivali in suburban Mumbai.
“It was very risky and we wanted a duplicate to perform it. We had already hired an expert to carry out this stunt, but Bobby asked my permission to perform it himself. I advised him not to, because it could have cost him his life, but he went ahead anyway,” says Sivan.
Deol performed the stunt with cables attached to his body, and everyone in the unit applauded when he accomplished the jump successfully, say sources.
The film is now 40 per cent complete, and the last schedule begins from Sunday in Punjab. “We plan to release the film in April,” says Sivan.
This film, the first joint venture between Sunny Deol and K Sera Sera, is budgeted at Rs 150 million (Rs 15 crore), while the second venture is titled Airport, and will feature both Sunny and Bobby Deol together. This film, to be directed by Anubhav Sinha, is budgeted at Rs 400 million (Rs 40 crore).
