Mumbai :Incessant rains have put Madhur Bhandarkar’s latest film Traffic Signal in the red. The shooting for the film has been stalled.
A worried Madhur says, “I have used real eunuchs and beggars. My production guys had to face lot of difficulties in arranging them. Two eunuchs each were brought from places like Gowalia Tank, Mahim, Bandra, Santacruz, Andheri and Versova traffic signals. I have already shot with them. But they have failed to report from past three days and nor there is any sign of joining the unit.”
He further adds, “This film too is budget around Rs. 40 million (Rs. 4 crore). The cancellation of three days shooting has put a spanner of more than Rs. 2 million (Rs. 20 lakhs) in losses. I had around 40 actors from theatre and T.V. for this stint. The worst part is the combination dates of these artistes. We had booked many imported cars, BEST buses, auto rickshaws, taxis, shooting equipments, stedicam camera, etc. I will have to re-shoot the eunuch portions as there is a song portion to be done too.”
“But I’m confident that like Corporate, Traffic Signal will table atleast Rs. 30 million (Rs. 3 crore) before the release,” confides Madhur.
