Sivaji: The Boss set to release on Friday

MUMBAI: The Rajnikanth starrer Sivaji: The Boss hits screens globally on 15 June 2007. The movie will be released in 252 screens across the world by Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd.


In India, the film will release in 110 screens in Andhra Pradesh, 86 screens in Tamil Nadu, four screens in Karnataka. Pyramid Saimira Theatre will also release in 52 screens in Malaysia.


The film has been directed by Shankar and produced by AVM Productions and is touted to be the costliest Indian film made. Reportedly, Rajnikanth has been paid a sum of Rs 200 million (Rs 20 crores) for the film, the budget of which is said to be Rs 700 million (Rs 70 crores).


The Chennai distribution rights for the film have been bagged by GV Films. As per a Economic Time survey, Sivaji: The Boss is likely to cross revenues to the tune of Rs 1 billion (Rs 100 crore).
