Mumbai: Actress Kareena Kapoor has denied recent reports about her getting into movie production and does not have any plans to do so in future.
Kapoor said, "I have no intentions to turn a producer. The rumours are baseless. There is no truth to it."
A source close to the actress also denied the news saying, "Kapoor is committed to several projects and is going to be neck deep in work for another two years so where is the time to launch her own production."
Recent reports claimed that Kapoor was all set to launch her own production banner and that the first film to be directed by Lovely Singh, would have Kapoor in the lead. The report also gave rise to speculation of Saif being cast opposite Kapoor in the film to be made under her banner and the project was to be funded by Eros Entertainment.
The source further said, "Kapoor hails from the RK family and with the prestigious RK banner, so why would Kapoor launch an independent production house?"
