Kirron Kher starrer Mummy-Ji launched

MUMBAI: US based Dave Atwal of Atwal Entertainment in association with Pammi Somal’s Creative Steps is venturing into the business of cinema in a big way. Their first project Mummy-Ji is a family entertainer and was launched on 27 November at Future Studios in Mumbai.


“Mummy-Ji is about the urban-Indian Punjabi mother whose life is spanned from the kitchen to club houses. It is being made in Hindi, English and Punjabi. Kirron Kher will play the Punjabi mother. Viraf Patel (Grasim Mr. India 2005), Sachin Sharma, Simran and Nimisha form Mummy-Ji’s family. The film also stars actors like Jackie Shroff, Kanwaljit, Divya Dutta, Anupam Kher and Satish Kaushik. Gurudaas Mann will also make a special appearance,” says Somal.


“The film will be shot in two schedules and plans are to release it on Mother’s Day (March) next year.


Atwal says, “We at Atwal Entertainment are devoted to producing high quality family entertainment for audiences in India and abroad. We will soon announce a series of family movies that display Indian relationships, romance, etc. Mummy-Ji is an average budgeted film and we are planning to release it worldwide in May next year.”


The film has cinematography by Vivek Banerjee, lyrics by Sameer and music by Aadesh Srivastava.
