Milind Gunaji bags 3 international projects

MUMBAI: Model-turned-actor Milind Gunaji has bagged multiple international acting assignments.

One of them is a British film by Walk Tall Productions titled Veiled Existence from Birmingham wherein he will play one of the lead roles. The second is an Indo-French Production called Rasleela, which is being produced under the banner of Fusion Features and is directed by Saratchandra. The third one, which has been in the cans for a while now, is Roland Joffe’s Indo-American film Singularity, whose casting has gone haywire.

Gunaji, who was shooting in Panvel for producer Salim and director Raj N Sippy’s thriller The Murderer, says, “I’m happy that my acting prowess is approved by makers from outside India and I consider it as a privilege. The shooting for the first film will commence in October. I have major roles in Singularity and Rasleela and shooting for these begin in December and January respectively.”

A multifaceted personality, Gunaji has more than 50 films to his credit in Hindi and Marathi. Droh Kaal was his first film 1994. However, with Fareb in 1996, he got instant recognition. He is appreciated not only in grey shades, but he proved himself as a fine character-actor in roles like Devdas and Hazar Chaurasi Ki Ma amongst others.

His latest Marathi films Bapu Bhiru Vategaonkar, Sari Var Sari fared well, whereas Shambhu Maza Navsacha is slated for a Diwali release. Marathi serials like Kalpant, Parchaiyan had topped the charts too.
