Mumbai: Actress turned producer Mink Brar now feels that she should continue producing movies and act in them as well. Despite a mere 40 per cent opening for the maiden’s debut production Katputtli, which released this Friday, she has chalked out ambitious plans for her production house starting with a Sunny Deol film.
“One of the films stars Sunny Deol in the lead. It is an action-comedy. Director Sanjay Khanna, who directed Katputtli, has been repeated for this film. The working title of the film is Neend,” says Mink’s brother Punnu.
The brother sister duo are also in the process of negotiating with other directors and writers for more films. The German-born Punnu has also done a two year course in Berlin Film Institute where he learnt scripting and direction. What’s more, he has also modelled for a Levis Jeans’ commercial.
When queried as to whether he will be directing one of the projects, he said, “I will. But I can’t say when. The
idea of floating an entertainment company is to promote new talent.”
Katputtli was backed by Sahara and Punnu is of the opinion that co-ventures help in reducing the risk factors involved. He says, “We will be producing our upcoming films but in the near future we may go in for tie-ups too.”
