MUMBAI: Actor Neha Dhupia has been roped in as the brand ambassador for the newly launched Jewellery credit card. The card, which is an alliance between ICICI bank and Gitanjali Jewellers, is a novel idea being launched in India for the first time.
Also present on the occasion was Sonia Mehra, daughter of late actor Vinod Mehra.
Expressing her view about the launch of Jewellery credit card and her association with one of the largest manufacturers and retailers of Jewellery products, Dhupia said, “It has been a great pleasure being associated with something that has always been synonymous with the essence of a woman. Moreover, I feel the launch of Jewellery credit card would make your dream purchase a swipe away. I know a lot of dreams might get fulfilled with the launch of this innovative concept.â€Â
Mehra added, “I have always been in awe of jewellery, especially diamonds. I hope the new venture would make jewellery more affordable and accessible for the masses.â€Â
Mehra will be making her debut in Kamal Sadanah’s soon to be released film Victoria 203, which is scheduled to release on 7 September this year.
The trend of film stars lapping up jewellery brands has become a trendy phenomenon. While Aishwarya Rai endorsed Nakshatra Diamond Jewellery, Sudhmita Sen is the brand ambassador of Kiah, Lara Dutta has been associated with D’damas as their brand ambassador, whereas Kajol endorses Asmi jewellery.
