PVR Pictures set to release six Hollywood flicks

MUMBAI: PVR Pictures is all set to release six Hollywood movies from May to October this year.

PVR Pictures’ summer feast of exciting lineup includes Something Borrowed, The Resident, The Conspirator, Bel Ami and Jane Eyre. Additionally, the company has also acquired the action adventure – The Three Musketeers 3D, which is slated to release worldwide on 14 October, 2011.

PVR Pictures president Kamal Gianchandani said, "At PVR Pictures, distribution will be our key focus area in 2011. It is our endeavor to give the Indian audience a wider choice of movie fare and this year alone, we are looking at a robust line-up of over 25 Hollywood film titles and will continue to scout and acquire the best of Hollywood for releases in India."

Something Borrowed is slated to release on 27 May. The romantic comedy is directed by Luke Greenfield and stars Ginnifer Goodwin, Kate Hudson and John Krasinski.

The Conspirator is a 2010 historical drama film directed by Robert Redford. It is the debut film of the American Film Company. It stars Robin Wright, James McAvoy, Justin Long, Evan Rachel Wood, Jonathan Groff, Tom Wilkinson, Alexis Bledel, Kevin Kline, and Toby Kebbell.

Bel Ami is an upcoming film starring Robert Pattinson and Uma Thurman. The film is directed by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod and is based on the 1885 French novel of the same name by Guy de Maupassant.

Jane Eyre is an orphan cast out as a young girl by her aunt, Mrs. Reed, and sent to be raised in a harsh charity school for girls. There she learns to become a teacher and eventually seeks employment outside the school. Her advertisement is answered by the housekeeper of Thornfield Hall, Mrs. Fairfax.
