Rajshri Media scales up operations; expands team

Mumbai: Rajshri Media is scaling up operations significantly and has also expanded its team.

Rajshri Media recently appointed Shashank Sathe as chief technology officer at its Mumbai headquarters. He comes from Digital Media Convergence Ltd., an Essel group company. Prior to this Gurmeet Singh was appointed as CEO and Vishnu Kant Gokul as vice president – ad sales.

To scale up operations across India, Rajshri Media has set up an ad sales office in New Delhi, spearheaded by Ajay Bandhoo and Shobhit Agarwal. Rajshri Media has also appointed Ravneet Munjal to head content acquisition at the New Delhi office. Ravneet was earlier associated with the India Today group.

Rajshri Media has also started operations in Chennai with Palaniappan, a senior photographer, cinematographer, writer and director having been appointed for Tamil content acquisition. In order to kick-start operations at a regional level, plans are afoot to start content acquisition and ad sales offices in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata very soon.

Rajshri Media is aggressively adding to its rich portfolio of 100 plus content partners. Web 18, the digital media arm of the Network 18 group and T-Series are two prominent content owners to have come on board very recently. Rajshri Media is also the exclusive web, mobile and IPTV rights holder of Yoga Guru, Baba Ramdev’s content. This includes Baba Ramdev’s entire video, audio, image and text library.

Another addition to the Rajshri Media is the appointment of Rajiv Vijayakar as the in-house film critic for reviews of new Bollywood releases.
