MUMBAI: Actress Shilpa Shetty has flagged off her production banner under the name S 2, which stands for Shilpa Shetty.
Shetty has appointed her sister Shamita Shetty as the creative head of S 2. Shamita will take charge of all the creative activities as a producer and will give her creative inputs by planning projects for the banner.
It is said that Shilpa is preparing to launch her production’s first venture, which is expected to go on floors soon. An official announcement and details on the same are yet to be declared.
Incidentally, the perfume merchandise launched last year by Shilpa after her victory on UK reality show Bigg Boss was also named S 2.
Shetty joins the list of actors such as Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Suniel Shetty, Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Rampal, Sushmita Sen and Sohail Khan amongst others, who have started their own film production ventures.
