MUMBAI: Sony Pictures India director – marketing Bhavesh Thakkar has put in his papers at the company.
Thakkar, who resigned last month, is currently serving his notice period and his last working day at the studio will be 30 June. At present, he is exploring various options in the entertainment sector.
When contacted, Thakkar confirmed the development to Businessofcinema.com. In his tenure at Sony Pictures, Thakkar was responsible for marketing films like Quantum of Solace, Pink Panther 2, Angels and Demons, Terminator Salvation, 2012 and Michael Jackson’s This Is It amongst others.
Prior to joining Sony Pictures India in July 2008, Thakkar was with Rakesh Roshan’s production company FilmKraft Entertainment as marketing head. He has also worked in companies like Studio 18, Sahara One Media and Entertainment and Inox.
