UTV’s Kaminey to be screened at IFFLA

MUMBAI: UTV Motion Pictures’ Kaminey has been invited for a special screening at the 8th Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles in the Bollywood by Night section. The Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) appreciates Indian cinema and the culture by showcasing eminent films, supporting emerging filmmakers, recognizing the industry performers and promoting the diverse perspective of the Indian diaspora. The festival will be held at ArcLight Hollywood from 22 to 25 April, 2010.

The Bollywood By Night section has more than 21 Bollywood films screened. IFFLA features a mix of film programs designed to build and support the growing interest in the Indian entertainment industry and cultivates an audience for Indian films while supporting Indian filmmakers in career development as they navigate the larger studio system in Hollywood.

UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur said,  "It is an honour to be invited for the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles. Kaminey received tremendous response in the domestic and international markets and this platform is another proof of its success. Kaminey is testament to what can be achieved when you bring together a visionary director, a talented cast and crew, a compelling script and great production values. We are extremely proud to have produced a film like Kaminey."
