Vishal Bharadwaj’s film in Toronto Fest

MUMBAI: Director Vishal Bharadwaj’s short-film Blood Brothers, which revolves around the sensitive issue of HIV/AIDS, is all set to premier in the Toronto Film Festival.


The festival begins on 6 September. A source close to the director confirms, “Vishal is leaving for Toronto tonight to participate in the film festival for the premiere of his short film.”


Blood Brothers, jointly produced by Mira Nair and Bill Gates Foundation, is written by Matthew Robbins and stars Ayesha Takia and Siddharth (of Rang De Basanti fame) in lead roles.


Pankaj Kapoor and Pawan Malhotra are also part of the film’s cast.
