The ‘Happy New Year’ actor Abhishek Bachchan will be doing a cameo in his father, Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Shamitabh’. Jr. Bachchan revealed in a recent event that he will be seen in a cameo in director R. Balki‘s film ‘Shamitabh’.

At a press conference, Abhishek Bachchan revealed that not only actress Rekha will be doing a cameo in the film, but actor himself has a small role in ‘Shamitabh’. According to the reports, the director of the film R. Balki, wanted to reunite the father and son team on-screen once again in his film ‘Shamitabh’. And to make that wish possible, Abhishek‘s role in the film was added later. The three, director R. Balki, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan last time worked together in the film ‘Paa’.

Film Shamitabh’s trailer and the song ‘Piddly’, which is sung by the Big B himself, were well received by the audiences. In the film, Big B plays a drunkard film industry veteran, whereas actor Dhanush will be playing a character of a mute small town guy with big dreams, who sets out on his journey to become a star.

When Amitabh and Dhanush finally meet, the journey of “Shamitabh” begins, and also their hidden rivalry. Kamal Haasan’s daughter Akshara Haasan will be making her Bollywood debut with ‘Shamitabh’.

The film is set to hit theatres on February 6, 2015.
