Amitabh Bachchan Clarifies On The Golden Thali Viral Picture

Legend and a superstar Amitabh Bachchan is bound to be thought as someone who must be eating in a golden thali. The veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan who still rules the tinsel town of Bollywood with his amazing performances in all his films is yet again in news for something bizarre.

The picture in which senior Bachchan is having a lavish lunch with actor Prabhu Ganesan and his family has already gone viral on the internet and is creating waves. Not just the delicacies are a treat to eyes, there is something more in the picture that has been creating waves in the minds of the audience. It was very much in the air that Amitabh Bachchan is eating his meal in a golden thali at the luxurious lunch; several fans of the actor posted the picture of him thinking that the plate he was eating in was made of gold. Not just that rumors went on that the dinner set laid out for the star cost a whooping, Rs. 65 crore.

However, the humble celebrity that Amitabh Bachchan is, the megastar has finally cleared all the talks of him and the golden thali. Superstar Amitabh, who was by now full with such unreal comments, finally took to his blog and clarified the stance saying, “A wonderful, traditional South Indian lunch was hosted by Shri Ramkumar, Shri Prabhu Ganesan and family for Shri Amitabh Bachchan and all of us at the Shivaji Illam in April 2015. The lunch was served on thalis which was not made of gold, but the moment was golden! I strongly condemn the malicious efforts to spread false and fictitious theories using an image of this memorable occasion”.

Setting off all talks of him dining in a golden platter, Amitabh made sure that he cleared everyone’s doubts about that. The actor in order to be more precise also posted the letter from the family which further proved that it was surely not a golden thali; the post declared in one of the sentences that; it was served on banana leaves on copper colored plates and utensils. The plates and vessels are not gold as some people are making them out to be.

Not only has he clarified about the golden thali issue, the legend superstar is on an explanation spree these days as he also clarified about his contract with the DD channel.
