Fault In Our Stars had a good run in India and the story had Bollywood written all over it. Two terminally ill patients fall in love and then they lose each other is a best plot Hindi films will ever find and we were pretty sure it will get Bollywood version soon. And we were not wrong. The film will get a Hindi version soon and will have Deepika Padukone and Varun Dhawan in the lead.
The film will be directed by Homi Adajania who helmed Being Cyrus, Cocktail and the recently released Finding Fanny. The film is based on John Green’s novel by the same name and has got worldwide appreciation.
We had also heard rumours about Deepika not interested to act alongside Varun Dhawan for reasons best known to her. But it seems those were rumours after all. Well, all’s well if it ends well.
We just hope Deepika and Varun does a good job with their characters as any mis-interpretation will earn them people’s ire as both the Hollywood film and the book is popular in India.
