It’s no secret that Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma once upon a time were very close to each other. The two shared a great chemistry and it reflected in their films, Band Baaja Baaraat being one of those. The two were allegedly dating each other. But soon enough, Ranveer and Anushka drifted apart. Ranveer found Deepika, whereas Anushka is happy with Virat Kohli and now once again the two will be soon seen sharing screen space in Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming film Dil Dhadakne Do.
Everyone was shocked when the news about Anushka coming on board with the project started to make its round, so was Ranveer Singh. Everyone wanted to know how the two patched things up and who initiated the first move and here’s everything about it. In an interview, Ranveer Singh, who did his first two films with the PK actress Anushka Sharma, revealed all that there is to know.
Apparently, it was Ranveer Singh who broke the ice. Yes, the moment Anushka signed the film, Ranveer was all over the moon as Anushka is a great actor. The two faced each other directly on the sets of Dil Dhadakne Do.
Ranveer,who was already on the ship before Anushka joined in, went up to the actress to say hello and once they met and greeted each other, the two went on talking about their lives and what’s been up with them. Anushka and Ranveer kept chatting for more than two hours. After the chat, it didn’t feel like the two were at all out of contact.
Ranveer further revealed that he saw an immense growth in Anushka’s skills. Ranveer went further on talking about what a great chemistry he shares with the actress and that the chemistry is quite visible in their song ‘Pehli Baar’ from the film. “I think if you see Pehli Baar, you will see we had great chemistry.
Zoya doesn’t show anything to anybody, I see it when everybody else sees it. So, I get to see anything when it comes on YouTube and then I am like ‘Oh!! It’s like this.’ So, when I saw Pehli Baar for the first time, I thought me and Anushka looked very good together.”
The star went further on and said that the chemistry between him and Anushka is just natural. Ranveeralso feels blessed that the actress decided to come on board with the project. “I was very pleased to see that the chemistry that we had and which people loved so much in Band Baaja Baarat was very much there. If it is there now also, then you can say that you have a natural chemistry with that certain actor. We are just blessed that Anushka decided to take up this part,” Ranveer said.
Dil Dhadkane Do also stars Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah. The film is all set to hit theatres on June 5, 2015.
