Revealed: Reason Why Over 300 Kids Were Auditioned For Sachin Tendulkar’s Bio-Drama

Given that Sachin Tendulkar is one of India’s global phenomena, the makers of his biographical drama, Sachin: A Billion Dreams, left nothing to chance.

To recreate the portions of the cricket icon during his younger days, about 300 kids were auditioned for Sachin Tendulkar’s bio drama..

The main criteria for selection was that the candidate had to look close to the younger version of Sachin and he should also be able to adapt his mannerisms with ease and conviction.

From the couple of hundreds who screen-tested, Mikhail Gandhi was chosen to essay the young Sachin. The Master Blaster was very mischievous and full of mirth during his bachpan ke din and some of the many pranks he pulled off on his buddies have also been recreated for this bio-drama.

The recently released trailer of the much-awaited biographical drama, ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ which traces the journey of Sachin Tendulkar who lorded the pitch over his brilliant 24-year international career and represented the hopes and aspirations of millions of people across the country, has received a raving response from all quarters and has created an audience awaiting the release of the film.

Produced by Ravi Bhagchandka of 200 Not Out and Shrikant Bhasi of Carnival Motion Pictures, and helmed by Emmy-nominated James Erskine, ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ is all set to release on 26th May 2017.
