Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani In Great Grand Masti

The news about the return of the Masti series’ third edition has been doing its rounds for quite some time now. Finally confirmation regarding the same has been made by sources directly connected with the film, and according to the reports, the film will go on floors this year May itself.

Earlier it was being said that lead actor Riteish Deshmukh had walked out of the third edition of the film which was yet to be titled. But later on the actor joined the film anyway and now screenwriter of the film Tusshar Hiranandani has confirmed the news of the title being set as Great Grand Masti.

He stated, “Yes, the third installment in the ‘Masti’ series is titled ‘Great Grand Masti’ and we are looking at going on floors somewhere in May this year. Riteish, Vivek and Aftab will be featuring in the film; however we are yet to lock the lead actresses for the same.”

Now we hear that Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures has decided to back the film and co-produce it with Ashoke Thakaria. Confirmation for the same was given by COO of Balaji Motion Pictures Tanveer Bookwala who stated, “Yes its true Balaji has come on board as the co-producers for Great Grand Masti, that will be directed by Indra Kumar.”

The first edition of the film Masti starred actresses Amrita Rao, Genelia D’Souza,Tara Sharma and Lara Dutta amongst others. Second edition Grand Mastireleased in 2013 featured Karishma Tanna, Kainaat Arora, Bruna Abdullah and others. The cast of the third edition Great Grand Masti will thus be awaited as the female characters play a pivotal role in the film’s series.
