Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year Creates Magic In China

Shah Rukh Khan‘s Happy New Year received positive response in China. Directed by Farah Khan, Happy New Year is a Bollywood musical heist drama film, which was a blockbuster in India, was released in 5000 screens in China. Just like India, the film has opened to houseful status at several theatres in China.

Going by the reports, SRK and Deepika Padukone starrer Happy New Year completed it’s first weekend run at the Chinese Box Office with good occupancy. The film was released in China on 12 February, just a week before the Lunar New Year or the Chinese New Year. A proper Box Office figure is not yet update, but it is reported that Happy New Year is doing amazingly good in China.

Apart from that, Happy New Year will also be showcased at the prestigious Beijin Film Festival.

The president of China Film Group, Mr. Xiao Ping said in a statement, “This is the first Indian movie to come to China this year and in our meeting with Mr. Shah Rukh Khan and YRF chairman Mr. Aditya Chopra we discussed about many more collaborations in future. Hope this is just the start of a long journey.”

The audiences in China are loving Happy New Year and showing good support. The film features Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah in lead roles.
