Sonam managed to make an exception to her lazy weekend plans of reading and chilling at home with her family, to fly to New Delhi, to attend her friend Manish Arora’s finale show at the Wills India Fashion Week.
Sonam tweeted thus, before flying out to the capital city, to witness her good friend Manish Arora’s finale show at the WIFW: “Only @manisharora1972 could convince me to use my only day off to attend his show! Looking forward my crazy friend!”
The stylish fashionista, who knows her Gucci from her Prada, was seen in a black neon sari from Manish’s latest collection, and was overheard ruing the fact that she couldn’t walk the ramp for Manish this time.
“It is always an honour to be a part of Manish’s show. I chose not to walk the ramp for him because I didn’t get time to prepare for it. I arrived at this venue just half an hour prior to the finale. I like this saree a lot and so I chose this from a wide range of dresses,” sighed Sonam.
Manish Arora is best known for his eclectic fusion designs, and even for his funky footwear for a sports retail giant. He has shown all over the world, and got a standing ovation at this year’s edition of the WIFW.
Also seen at the after party for Manish by WIFW was Bollywood starlet Neha Dhupia, ‘Bigg Boss’ housemate Imam Siddiqui and a host of Delhi’s top socialites and party people.
