Abhishek Bachchan’s first film of the year, All is Well, released on Friday, August 21. All is Well, which happens to be a comedy drama film, couldn’t create the expected magic at the Box Office on its first weekend. Directed by Umesha Shukla, All is Well only managed to pull in Rs. 8.72 crore net (87.20 million) approx. on its first weekend at the Box Office.
Even though the film had us with the trailer and its soothing music, the film wasn’t entertained with the expected reaction by the audiences at the Box Office on its first day. All is Well opened to a dull start and only managed to gather around occupancy rate of 15-20% at the Box Office. The comedy drama film managed to earn Rs. 2.45 crore net (24.50 million) approx on its first Friday at the Box Office. Now looking at the film’s first weekend collections, we are nothing but little surprised as a strong growth was expected from the film’s business on Saturday and Sunday.
The only other Bollywood film that released alongside All is Well is Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer small budget film Manjhi: The Mountain Man. Abhishek Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor‘s film is doing a decent business in circuits like Mumbai, Delhi, UP and Gurgaon.
All does not seem well with All is Well, as it seems more likely that the film will fail to pull in some good amount on its first Monday at the Box Office. The film will most likely witness a small drop on its first week at the Box Office.
Bollywood showed us daughter and father’s twisted relationship in Deepika Padukone’s Piku, and we absolutely loved it. Now with All Is Well, we get to see father and son’s bond. Since there’s no major big film running alongside Abhishek Bachchan’s All Is Well, the film should have done better on its first weekend. Now we wait for the sort of numbers Abhishek Bachchan’s All is Well succeeds in bringing in on its first week at the Box Office.
