Box Office: I Hate Luv Storys nets Rs 380 million in 10 days

MUMBAI: Dharma Productions’ I Hate Luv Storys has done a net business of Rs 380 million (Rs 38 crore) at the Indian box office in 10 days.

In its second weekend, the movie’s net collections were approximately Rs 60 million (Rs 6 crore), which is almost 70 per cent down from its opening weekend collections of Rs 220 million (Rs 22 crore). Additionally, there was no major Hindi movie scheduled to release this Friday apart from Milenge Milenge.

The second weekend breakdown for I Hate Luv Storys is as follows: Rs 13 million (Rs 1.30 crore) on Friday, Rs 20.5 million (Rs 2.05 crore) on Saturday and Rs 26.5 million (Rs 2.65 crore) on Sunday.

Movies that released this week are Milenge Milenge, Red Alert: The War Within and Hollywood film Knight And Day.

Milenge Milenge starring Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor proved to be a damp squib at the box office mostly due to the fact that the movie saw the light of day after almost five years. It opened with net collections of approximately Rs 20 million (Rs 2 crore) on Friday. While Red Alert: The War Within was also a disappointment at the box office, Knight And Day opened to a better response.
