Box Office: Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Kapoor’s Tevar

Dabangg Star Sonakshi Sinha and Ishaqzaade Arjun Kapoor’s Tevar fails to create magic on the box office. The film with its rough start, only managed to pull around Rs 7 Crore (70 million) on its first day. Tevar which is a total entertainer packed with action, masala and love story, couldn’t do well on its first weekend.

Directed by Amit Sharma, Tevar was released in 3,000 screens. Even though Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Kapoor’s Tevar is the first big hit of the year, the film did not receive a great response from the audiences. The film earned around Rs. 7.5 Crore (75 million) on its second day, Saturday, earning total amount around RS. 14.5 Crore (145 million) in its two days.

Not only that, the film Tevar, a typical Bollywood action-drama, received mixed reviews from the critics. The film failed to reach the expectations, though Actor Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha delivered a good performance on screen. Director Amit Sharma’s Tevar is expected to earn around Rs. 25 Crore (250 million) in its first weekend. The film could have done better if only Aamir Khan’s super hit film “PK” wasn’t still running strong on big screens in its fourth weekend.
