MUMBAI: One of Bollywood’s leading filmmakers, Anurag Basu, has confirmed that he is all geared up to launch a production house with his ‘Barfi!’ superstar Ranbir Kapoor. The new venture, as quirky as it sounds, will be titled ‘Picture Shuru Productions’.
‘Picture Shuru’ is a joint venture between the fabulous duo of Ranbir Kapoor and Anurag Basu. The films produced under this banner will star Ranbir in lead roles, while Anurag will direct the films.
Their first production, ‘Jagga Jasoos’ will go on floors this year, and Ranbir Kapoor will reportedly play a detective (‘jasoos’) in the film.
The duo are also reportedly finalising the details of the Kishore Kumar biopic, that is very close to Anurag Basu’s heart.
