After a decade, we’ll get to see Hollywood’s power couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt reunite on the big screen in their upcoming film By The Sea. The romance drama film is written and directed by none other than Angeline Jolie herself.
By The Sea’s first trailer is here and it shows Angeline and Brad’s unhappily-ever-after love story. If we minus the kicks and slaps in the film, By The Sea is no action drama, neither it is a romantic saga. Set in France during the mid 70’s, the film tells us the story of an American writer named Roland, played by Brad Pitt and his wife Vanessa, a former dancer, played Angelina Jolie, who travel together to a picturesque seaside resort. By the looks of it, their marriage seems to be shattering and in apparent crisis. But as soon as they encounter newlyweds Lea and Francois, played by Melanie Laurent and Melvil Poupaud respectively, the two start noticing the differences and unresolved issues n their marriage.

The film was shot in Malta, where ironically the power-couple were actually on their honeymoon in 2014. By The Sea is anything but a romantic film. Going by the trailer, Angelina and Brad’s relationship is not like it used to be; there are issues, problems and a lot of silence, which later turns into aggression and abuse. In the trailer, we see Angelina and Brad drifting away. Angelina crying herself to sleep, while Brad smoking himself to stress while trying to come up with a story to write. As the trailer inches towards its end, the soothing background music fades out and we see Angelina kicking and slapping her husband Brad. It’ll be amazing to see real life loving couple playing the opposite characters of a married couple who hate each other’s guts in By The Sea.
Last time we saw Angeline and Brad mesmerize the audiences was in their film Mr. and Mrs. Smith. By The Sea also stars Niels Arestrup and Richard Bohringer. The film is all set to hit the theatres in November 13, 2015.
