MUMBAI: This Pongal, BIG 92.7 FM Chennai will celebrate every Tamilian’s Pride (Tamizhanin Perumai) across all its on-air and on-ground offerings. The Station will live its brand-line Kekkalam Pesalam Life Kondadalam, positively impacting listener’s lives through integration of the new concept into all its offerings.
Tamizhanin Perumai will be the foundation on which all the offerings from the radio station will be pegged. Everyday will see a celebrity being featured on air, where his/her traits and achievements will be discussed by fellow colleagues, family, friends and fans in general.
Tamilians featured on BIG 92.7 FM will be from across various fields e.g. Kollywood, politics, sports etc. and will be felicitated for their exemplary achievements and contribution to society.
The new format kick-started on 15 January with Honorable Chief Minister of TamilNadu M.Karunanidhi being the first celebrity to be felicitated. He will be followed by personalities like actors Sathyaraj and Parthiban, percussionist Sivamani, businessman Vasanth Kumar and ace music director AR Rehman.
