Mumbai: MySpace.com will be promoting Indian artist Ashu internationally. He will be performing at the South by South West Music Conference & Festival (SXSW) in the US on 18 March, 2009.
Accompanying him on tour are: guitar maestro Dhruv Ghanekar, John Hollis on drums, Jimmy Thomas on bass, Nandini Srikar & Mehnaz Hoosein on back up vocals. This year, Ashu is the only Indian musician to be performing at the music festival.
Ashu’s alternative rock style symbolizes a new wave of expression in India. His music is philosophically Indian but musically global.
MySpace India will offer an opportunity to follow the band online at the South by South West Music Conference & Festival.
MySpacers will get a look into Ashu’s social adventure at SXSW. This will be in the form of photo blogs, video updates and sound bytes not just of on stage performances but also of the activities backstage.
