MUMBAI: The music of Subhash Ghai’s next directorial venture Yuvvraaj was released in Mumbai.
The movie stars Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Zayed Khan and Boman Irani.
The music was released by music director AR Rahman and lyricist Gulzar.
Ghai said, "The experience has been fascinating, exciting and unique which is one f the pleasures of working on a film with celebrated music maestro A.R.Rahman. This is the first time that I am working with Gulzar sahib and the process of creating music is all the more wonderful and joyous. Yuvvraaj needed a distinct sound, keeping in mind its contemporary look yet melodious compositions; it needed to be regal and grand in its composition but at the same time it needed to have a modern appeal, which these two magicians have wonderfully woven together effortlessly."
Rahman added, "It has always been a pleasure to associate with Subhashji on his projects. We worked on Taal, which gave immense creative satisfaction as composer and it was an honour that Yuvvraaj was offered to me. Working on the music of Yuvvraaj has been a creative challenge for me, as Subhashji has always been associated with melodies music and has a vast understanding about the subject. Once you have an artistic mind like Subhashji behind you I guess everything falls rightly in to its place. "Taal’ was a mega success and I see Yuvvraaj as bigger than that."
The music will be on T-Series. "The lethal combination of Subhash Ghai, A R Rahman and Gulzar will mesmerize the music lovers with their forthcoming and in true sense musical extravaganza Yuvvraaj," said T-Series chairman and managing director Bhushan Kumar.
Yuvvraaj has nine tracks and the CD is priced at Rs 160. The movie is produced by Mukta Arts and is slated to release on 21 November, 2008.
