Harshvardhan Kapoor Prefers Direction Over Acting

Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan Kapoor rejects two films, one by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and the other by Vikramaditya Motwane. He wants to assist film-maker Anurag Kashyap.

MUMBAI: Recent films like ‘Student of the Year’, ‘Shootout at Wadala’ and ‘Aashiqui2’ has seen several new star kids make their debut in Bollywood. Alia Bhat, Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor and Siddhanth Kapoor have recently made their acting debut and have tasted sweet success.

Anil Kapoor’s US returned son Harshvardhan Kapoor has no big plans of acting as of now. Harshvaradhan rejected two films offered to him by director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra of ‘Rang De Basanti’ fame and Vikramaditya Motwane whose ‘Lootera’ is set for release in July.

While this would have been the easy route to taste success, Harshvardhan Kapoor does not wish to rush with opportunities coming his way. He wishes to focus on direction than acting and says he wants to spend some time behind the camera. He has completed a course in screenplay writing and acting in USA.

Harshvardhan is currently working on Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. The film goes on floors in July and Harshvardhan will be assisting director Anurag Kashyap.

We think, though, that its just a matter of time, before he switches once he masters one.
