MUMBAI: Ex-Miss India Gul Panag and Super Model Milind Soman teamed up for a cause.
Milind Soman and Gul Panag met up in Mumbai to announce ‘Pinkathon’ on November 8, 2013, a 10km run for women. This running event was to encourage women’s health and fitness and create awareness for breast cancer.
Milind Soman was a national level swimmer before he joined the modeling industry. He is a fitness freak and has been a regular when it comes fitness events.
In July 2006, Soman married to Mylene Jampanoi, his French co-star in the film ‘Valley of Flowers’. However, the marriage only lasted until 2009 when they were divorced.
Gul Panag on the other hand shot to fame in 1999 when she won the ‘Miss India’ title and went on to represent India at the ‘Miss Universe’ pageant. Gul was the Twitter Face for the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week held in 2009.
Gul got married to her long time boyfriend Rishi Attari on March 13, 2011. She ran at the Delhi Half Marathon in November 2010, but endured eve teasing from male runners at the event. She later remarked that the attitude of men in Delhi needed to change and that the city was unsafe for women.
