The episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ which was telecasted yesterday on October 2 was really an interesting show. The show witnessed the Indian social crusader and Gandhian Anna Hazare who has led movements to promote rural development and curb corruption. The show kicked off with the theme of how significant technology has become to us in today’s world and also many guests gave their statements about the same. The humor of Kapil was very desi and the jokes threw light on rural areas of India.
Later, the show introduced us to Anna Hazare. Anna came to promote a biopic which is being made on him. Many were not known, but Anna’s real name is Kisan Baburao Anna Hazare and he also said that Anna means an elder brother. In the show, Anna revealed that he wanted to be a social worker since the age of 25 after reading a book on Swami Vivekananda.
Anna spoke about his hunger strike, the Right To Information Act and the Lokpal Bill. Kapil asked him that does he get the energy to keep fast, to which Anna said that it is the power of society; he also spoke about his trust. The show got much more entertaining by Sunil Grover aka Dr Mashoor Gulati and Ali Asgar aka Nani who is known to flirt with every guest on the show.
The Indian crusader revealed that he was crazy about movies during his teenage. He also said that he used to watch movies first day first show. Anna also recognized few celebrities like Dilip Kumar and Vyjayanthimala but he failed to recognize Bollywood’s Badshah Shah Rukh Khan and said he was not that popular during Anna’s time. Anna could not even identify Deepika Padukone.
Actor Shashank Udapurkar who plays reel life Anna and has also directed the biopic also came on the show. The show was an entertainment and Anna urged people to watch the movie and also appreciated Kapil for promoting social initiatives on his show.
