Watch: A Nostalgic Salman Khan Talks About Amitabh Bachchan’s Sholay

It has been almost four decades since the epic film Sholay released on august 15 in 1975. The Salim- Javed duo worked hard to pen down such a master-piece which is still a favorite for many in the film industry. The star cast of the film was quite big for a 1975 film consisting of Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bhaduri, Hema Malini and Dharmendra. The villain of the movie was none other than the dangerously popular Amjed Khan.

Salman Khan remembers to be studying in SCINDIA School when he attended the premiere of the movie at the Minerva theatre with elder brother Arbaaz Khan. “I was wearing the school blazer and uniform when my father picked us up for the premiere show”. It was quite an impressive movie for Salman even in his childhood days and he clearly remembers to be quite delighted and impressed with the acting and story of the film.

The movie after two weeks in theatre was still not doing very well and hence” they were planning on changing the climax, they wanted Bachchan saab to relieve.” But it was in the third week that the movie was finally accepted by the audience and it created history.

Who can forget “basanti in kutto ke samne mat nachana” and the classic hit “thakur ye haath mujhe de de”. Salman was quite happy to say,”it was the only film where informatory dialogues became a hit”. We are sure Salman would have loved to do this film if offered.

If Salman were ever to act in Sholay which role would he fit in? You wonder and so are we wondering if only.
