Watch: What Made Alia Bhatt Cry While Dancing With Shahid Kapoor

As we all know Shahid Kapoor is a brilliant dancer and matching his energy level along with the dance steps is not that easy. Alia who took the challenge to dance like Shahid Kapoor in their first ‘Shaandaar’ song, ‘Gulaabo’, has truly nailed it to get her task perfect.

Yesterday, during the launch of ‘Gulaabo’ song, Alia Bhatt shared her experience of dancing with Shahid. She said, “‘Gulaabo’ was the first song that Shahid and I had to do. I was damn nervous dancing with him. I had to have at least 10 per cent of his energy. He has 100 per cent. I rehearsed a lot. I did work hard a lot. I cried also for this, for getting such steps. But Shahid helped me a lot.”

Choreographer Bosco who has choreographed this song also agreed to the same and said that Alia Bhatt cried while dancing this song.

Well, Shahid Kapoor’s take on this is must when now he has 22-year-old co-star Alia into competition. He said he faced a lot of competition while rehearsing this song. “Today’s actors are ‘shana’ (smart). We usually used to hang out everyday after the shoot. I got to know that Alia used to rehearse. As she wanted to get better than me. There was competition for it,” he said.

Alia and Shahid who will be seen together on the silver screen for the first time were seen having a lot of fun at the song launch. Shahid also shared few details of his onscreen chemistry with Alia. He said, “I don’t know what works in our favour. We did not interact much before we got on board for this film. We had met once or twice after we started doing the film. We just got along well. She is unassuming, nice and a wonderful person.”

Talking about the film, ‘Shaandaar’ is based on Shahid and Alia who will be playing insomniacs and the film is of an Indian family who land up in exotic location of London for the destination wedding where Shahid Kapoor plays the role of a wedding planner. Directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Karan Johar, the film is set to release this year on festive occasion of Dussehra on October 22,2015.
