With big blockbusters like Lagaan and Rang De Basanti, Bollywood is witnessing a revolution with foreign artists grabbing eye balls on our silver screen. But its not a one way street, Indian talent too is making a cross over with our creative experts now lending their skills to international projects.
The movie Road to the Sky is one such project which is being jointly produced by U.S.-based Echo Lake Productions, Adirondack Pictures and Santosh Sivan Productions of India. Sources say that the producers were so impressed with Santosh Sivan’s films like The Terrorist and Asoka that they wanted him to make this movie with them.
Road to the Sky is a story about a British planter in Kerala and is based in the pre-independence days. In the film, the planter wants to build a road to the hills to tap the spices grown in the high ranges. The cast is made up of Rahul Bose, Nandita Das and foreign artists Linus Roache and Jennifer Ehle.
