Jaan-E-Mann misses SAIF Festival premiere

MUMBAI: The world premiere of Sajid Nadiawala’s Jaan-E-Mann, directed by Shirish Kunder, was to be held on the closing night presentation of the third annual South Asian International Film (SAIF) Festival on 8 October in New York City. However, the premiere didn’t take place.

“It’s true that earlier there were talks of my movie to be showcased at the closing night presentation of the third annual South Asian International Film on 8 October, but then the decision of not premiering it was mutually taken because it would be too early to show the film. The film is due to release on 20 October and it would only be fair that everyone gets to see the film on the worldwide release date,” says Nadiadwala.

“There is a lot of hype and stupendous curiosity for my movie and is the most awaited blockbuster this festival season. And therefore it’s rightly justified to ensure that everyone sees the film on the release date,” he adds.

Nadiawala has tied up with UFO Moviez to distribute the film digitally to 500 cinemas, thus ensuring that even the B and C centers get to see the movie on the worldwide release date.
