MUMBAI: Singer Kumar Sanu whose maiden venture Utthan, starring Neha Dhupia and Priyanshu Chatterjee did not fare well at the box office, will start his next film with Satish Kaushik as the director. The film’s story will be based on one of Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s novel.
“I had a long meeting with Satish Kaushik and have narrated the story of the novel to him. He liked it and if he gives the green signal then this film will be the costliest made under the banner of Kumar Sanu Communications Pvt Ltd,” informs Sanu.
His previous film Utthan was made on a budget of Rs 25 million (Rs 2.5 crores) and was directed by Ujjwal Chatterjee.
