HomeTV, Warner Bros, EMI ink agreement


MUMBAI: HomeTV has signed an agreement with Warner Brothers covering the Nordic States. The agreement will give HomeTV access to Warner Brothers’ full library of films. 


This step greatly enhances HomeTV’s position as a leading Scandinavian provider of Video on Demand (VOD) content solutions.


New films like Superman Returns, Flags of Our Fathers, Blood Diamond and the Academy Awarded The Departed will be shown at HomeTV in 2007.


The latest box office hits from Warner Bros, like Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut, the Harry Potter movies, Clint Eastwood’s Mystic River and Unforgiven, will be released at HomeTV during the first half of 2007. One of the recent box office hits, Superman Returns, is one of the first films from Warner Brothers on HomeTV. The film has a VOD release on 6 March, 2007 in Sweden and in Norway.


HomeTV has also signed a distribution deal with EMI regarding conserts on VOD. The agreement includes concerts by Robbie Williams. Films from Scanbox and Horse Creek Entertainment are already available on HomeTV in the Nordic States.
